Casual #OOTD! + CTRF Challenge

Remember a few weeks ago I challenged all of you beauties to step outside of the box and beyond your comfort zone? Wear a white bottom for the first time, purchase a crop top for the weekend, maybe strut in a swimsuit for the first time in your life?

How is the mission going? Are you still on the Love Boat, or back drowning in self-pity/ self-hate? I hope that you’re making strides towards a resilient confidence that will become a part of who you are.

Digressing, even the most assured people have certain clothing that they kind of stray away from, not because they’re not confident in their appearance or who they are, but we just love wearing what makes us feel MOST beautiful, and most comfortable. My garments of choice are harem pants, midi skirts/ dresses, and crop tops. Harem pants are different from normal pants because they do not become gobbled up by crotch area and are unrestricting yet still feminine. Midi skirts are preferred over the standard bodycon because I feel comfortable and classy in them; I don’t have to walk-and-pull, the length is just ideal for me. The cropped tee is all the rage right now and is another go-to item for me. They accentuate my inclined waist line and are trendy, fun, and totally age appropriate for a young 23-year-old like myself.

Garments that I (unintentionally) neglect are free-flowing tops, lingerie, and shorts. Free-flowing tops conceal the curves of my upper body and make me look boxy. Lingerie … hmm. It’s not that I am afraid to wear it, I just typically feel like “for what/ who?”, so I do not have a fancy, extensive, negligee collection. It is average. Shorts, I previously mentioned that when I was younger, they scared the hell out of me. They no longer intimidate me, but I’ve only worn them while working out and once as an #OOTD last year (one of my highest rated posts!). I would like to partake in the challenge with you all and step outside of my box as well, so I’ll be experimenting with these 3 garment choices.

With it being hot as ALL OF HELL in Florida currently, I purchased a very cute pair of printed, ethnic, high waist shorts from Simply Fashion. I was going for a very vibrant yet casual look.  I do not like that store that  much, but I always manage to find a few random gems inside (my frequently worn striped/ red clutch) for the low! These shorts were only $12.99 and are super stretchy and comfy. I suggest you go up a size, maybe two if you can.

    1. I want to try wearing a two piece bathing suit, A crop top(I am so busty though so this is real scary for me), I have two pairs of shorts for the first time in years so I have met that challenge. Not sure what the third thing is that I will try to wear. I gotta think about it.
