12 Takes: Take 10 & 11: Makeshift Suits

Suits aren't really my style of choice. I definitely steer away from them when needing to dress up and opt for a nice dress instead. I've searched high and low for one to keep in my closet, as I was told to do as an adolescent (in case of a big interview). Never could find one. I've been suit shopping with my mother who happens to have as many suits as I have crop tops (A LOT!). Ross, Macy's Dillard's ... unsuccessful. Primarily, my body is not a standard size up and down. The 14 or 16 jacket may be a perfect fit, but i'm not getting into a (no stretch) pair of 16 pants. I need that 18! But an 18 jacket would swallow me up. Another issue I frequently encounter is the lining in the suits make it so that I can't get into them. All of my bottoms need at least a minor amount of stretch so that they accommodate my hips and thighs. It also seems like the length on suit pants are not right for me. I don't get -______-

Now when I need a suit, I do my own thing mixing and matching separates.

The "blouse" above is a scarf I previously used for a bandeau project. This time I played around with it until I had a draping sweethheart neckline, tied it securely, and that was it . Easy project.
