Valentine's Day LookBook

When you think about getting dressed up for a hot Valentine's Day date,  lots of reds, pinks, and white often is the result. However, I believe that getting dressed for this holiday doesn't have to push you into a box that includes only those colors. Dress based around your agenda, and just make sure you're fabulous! Those are the only guidelines.

I've put together a few unorthodox V-Day looks for you ladies still having a hard time deciding what to wear, and included purchasing info so that you can have it on your doorstep in time for your romantic weekend. Enjoy!

Look # 1: Classic

As I mentioned prior, red/ white/ pink are the go-to colors for a V-Day date. If you choose to stick to the norm, here's a look for you. The Wendy Dress (2X) from Make Me Certified Boutique is it! It's made of a cotton material (as opposed to that snug Spandex material) that is very appealing and is actually available is black or royal blue as well. I have LOTS of white (#NeverScared), but this may be my new fave! MMCB has standard and plus sizes and a very feminine/ chic line up. If this isn't necessarily your style, i'm sure you'll find something (else) within their inventory

Look #2: Flirty

The Dominique Skirt (2X) from Haute Life Plus is today's v-day look of the day, and a steal, too. This pleated fit and flare striped midi is constructed from that heavy-duty scuba material (that sits stiff off your body) and is only $25 at HLP. I paired Dominique with a yellow wrap crop top for a minimal peek of tummy, pointed tie-up flats, and a floral fold clutch. This look is ideal for a casual V-Day date, perhaps that will require you to be somewhat comfortable (but still cute as a button!)

Look #3: Sexy

The Izzy Dress is available for my slim & curvy beauties (S-3X) at Make Me Certified Boutique. I'm wearing the tan/ black version, but it's available in white/ black and red/ black as well. It's a mini dress, and has a nice cleavage line, so it's sexy. But, features like the shoulder pads and exposed zipper down the back also make it deluxe. This look is for the girls wanting to dress up for V-Day. I accessorized with opaque tights and a GlossTress fur stole to titivate the informality of the bodycon

Look # 4: Simple Retro

Caped garments are currently a popular demand in "trendy" fashion, however, pieces similar to the cape dress have been around since the 20's. If you wanted to go in the vintage route, The Bombshell Boutique has you covered. This dramatic dress comes in red, royal, and black, plus sizes.

Look # 5: Relaxed

This is how how i'll most likely look on V-Day. Super chilled out, casual, relaxed. If you have plans that consist of Netflix, Wal-Mart, and a slide through the state fair that's currently in town ... here ya go! I love the upgrades of the standard sweatsuit (the gold embellishments, the Polyester material), and that it looks totally cute even with strappy heels ... you know, just in case you end up needing to (unzip those zippers) and get sexy right quick ;) Make Me Certified Boutique has this chic sweatsuit available in maroon (shown), white, olive, and blue.
