My "12 Takes of Vintage/ DIY/ Deals/ & Small Businesses" has come to an end and i'm super excited! The purpose was not only to introduce you all to some awesome, affordable, small businesses an showcase what they sent to me for review, but to also start a task and finish it (as that is so difficult for me). But I did it. And gained about 500 new Instagram followers along the way. Heyyyy y'all! If you're reading, my blog is very informal and sometimes personal. I love to communicate and show you all off, so let's interact!
My Take 12 #OOTD is a product of the often mentioned, Diva Xpress, online vintage resale shop. Talesha (the owner) sent me over one of the MANY oversized blazers she has to offer. It is red+black and boldly striped with a single button closure. I like a relaxed look, so I rolled up my sleeves and formed a cuff. If you're looking for a unique, bold, printed, retro blazer ... she has them! All sizes, all sorts. I have about 6 so far: aztec printed, neon, striped, floral. Check her out: Shop Diva Xpress.
Black jeans that are NOT JEGGINGS but have a slight stretch, that are affordable, won't easily fade, and have a high sitting waistline are hard to come by! I purchased mine (that also so happen to come in denim shades as well) from Forever 21+. They are a size 18 and fit very well. They have a little extra length, but that's ok because they don't have the waistline gap in the back like a good amount of my jeans do. I didn't need a belt. I'm considering buying the other color(s), definitely a recommendation.
My t-shirt reads: Step outside of the trends, embrace individuality. Enough said. Even if you're caught up in the trends (yeah, that's me) are you letting your style OWN the look? Don't let the trends consume you. I purchased this v-neck statement t-shirt from Pacsun. My studded, strappy, platform sandals are from the Steve Madden brand.
That's all for now folks!
