Vintage Shirts & Midi Skirts

There is a such thing as keeping it fly, easily, and on a budget ... although that seems to be SO MUCH to request. As much as I adore a bold, eccentric print and/ or cut from my garment, i'm becoming more acquainted with staple pieces and the role they play in creating a (stress-free) wardrobe.

Over the past few months, I've been filtering my closet and eliminating lots of garments that just aren't necessary. You know, those "I love this, I could wear this if I ever decide to do this and that" type of pieces. I've grown out of "clubbing" ... so I decreased my "nightlife" attire by fifty percent. I NEVER have #NetflixAndChill opportunities, so hampers full of lounging clothes weren't beneficial to the plan either. I decreased (and still am) my wardrobe in every area before the Summer ended.

There just comes a time where organization/ accessibility becomes way more significant than quantity.

A simple and always unique (go-to) OOTD for me is a vintage blouse + a solid midi skirt. The detailed structure and retro print of the blouse works alone, These bodycon skirts from Rebdolls are basic in structure allowing you to wear them with a tee, a blouse, a crop top, a bra-lette ... ideal for any time of your day. Swap your top & move.

Having all three of these staple skirts (black, olive, & red) in my possession makes for many easy mornings. Fitted tee, cardigan & pointed flats? Pussy bow blouse & pump? Either way, i'm out the door quick, minus a frantic search/ demolish of my room. Add these beauties to your growing or simplified wardrobe for less than $20 each! Steal, or nah?

Vintage blouse #1: Diva Xpress Resale
Vintage blouse #2: #StraightOutta my mom's closet
Both skirts: Rebdolls
