Left: completely bare, Right: "Clip & Zip" 4X
I'd like to open up by first saying that I do not waist train, at all, and do not like corsets. I continuously get offers to review them for the blog, and continuously decline (I've done 2 previously). They HURT, they do not comply. they are restricting, they're a hassle. I usually wear my generic (wireless) shaping brief, if anything, and call it a day. I actually like my natural form.
The Bombshell Boutique reached out persuading me to at least try their new "Clip & Zip" corset. One of the leading reasons I usually dislike the standard corset undergarment is because there's an excessive amount of hooks to assemble. For some reason, once I get once in, one usually slips out. With this new, renovated design, I noticed a large decrease in the number of hooks. You're clamping 4 times as opposed to 22. Sure, i'll try it .. for you ladies!
While I still don't see myself wearing one on the regular, when I want some extra support, this will be my go-to. The BSB has the "Clip & Zip" corset, up to a size 6X. I tried on the 4X (based on my physique) & 5X (based on the size chart). I took the 4X, it was more supportive, despite the size chart suggesting I was 20 pounds too large for this size. I would say the unit runs big, just don't rely solely on the size chart. Measure your body.
PROS:
- East to put on and take off, hidden under clothes
- Completely smoothed out that lower pouch I have had since I was six years old, lol
- Gave an extra lift to my breasts, highlighting waist line
- Elongated my torso, highlighting my waist line
- Pushed fat down, made me (more) hourglass
- Did NOT move or roll up 0_0
CONS:
- It's still a corset, and while it is definitely better than the others I've tried, it gets uncomfortable after an extended period of time
I have back rolls lol would it help smooth out my back?
